building in public

A personal AI I'm building in the open. It's early.

sarpOS is my long-term attempt at a personal AI operating system — one that can hold a life of work and recall it when it matters. It's early and in active development, so this page stays honest about what exists and what doesn't yet. The one piece you can actually use today is Vasuki, the voice of sarpOS. The longer thinking lives in the thesis essay.

What works today

One thing, and it's real: Vasuki, the voice of sarpOS. You can talk to it anywhere on this site. It answers from the public pages here, points you to the right work or essay, and — the part that matters most — says so when the record doesn't have an answer instead of inventing one. That bounded, honest behaviour is the first principle the rest of the system is being built on.

What's still planned

Everything below is intent, not a shipped feature — the shape sarpOS is being built toward:

None of this is live yet. When a piece actually ships, it shows up in the log below — not here.

The boundary

The public page shows the direction, not the private design details.

The detailed architecture, private notes, and operating plans stay off the public site. What's here is the honest direction and the part you can actually use.

The log

The honest version: the first thing sarpOS “shipped” is this website — a clearer home for the work. New entries land here as real pieces ship, newest first. No filler in between.

  1. shipped

The site became a clearer home for the work

Shipped a calmer homepage, a public guide for questions, and a build log that shows progress without publishing private design details. The site now points visitors to the work, the writing, and the sarpOS idea with less noise.
